Dress code for major basilicas

• NOT allowed
  • No low-cut anything
  • Sleeveless shirts
  • Short Shorts
• Allowed
  • Capris are allowed for women
  • Skirts are allowed, as long as they are not short

Miscellaneous

• Rosaries, medals, items you would like blessed by the Pope
• Comfortable shoes​ – VERY IMPORTANT (tennis shoes are fine for basilicas)
• Converters & Adapters​​ (for hair dryers, razors, phone chargers…)
• Back Pack / Money Belt
• Umbrella ​​(not a necessity, but if you don’t like rain…)
• Deodorant
• Toothpaste/Toothbrush
• Light Jacket
• Sunscreen
• Sunglasses
• Water Bottle
• Hand sanitizer
• Medications (Italy will not always have the same brands as us. If there are specific medications you want/need, bring them with you)

Money

• Not all stores accept credit or debit, but cash can be taken out at ATMs
• We ​highly recommend using mainly debit cards
• Contact your bank and let them know you will be out of the country
